The Story Behind Bhai Dooj

Do you know the reason behind the celebration of Bhai Dooj?

It is said and believed that on this day, Lord Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura. After defeating Narakasura, Lord Krishna visited his sister Subhadra who welcomed her brother with Tilak, sweets and flowers. She also gave him a dry coconut which is considered as an auspicious symbol. 

And since then, this day is celebrated as Bhai Dooj.
